Science: Plant in a Baggie

 


 

You’ll need:
1 plastic baggie
1 lima bean
2-3 paper towels
Tape
Water
Sunshine

How to:

  1. Wet the paper towels with water, wring out the excess water.
  2. Place the lima bean in the middle of the wet paper towels.
  3. Place the paper towels with the lima bean inside a plastic baggie.
  4. Zip the plastic baggie closed.
  5. Tape the plastic baggie on a window that gets regular sunshine.
  6. Drop in small amounts of water each day.
  7. Watch the roots and plant grow.
  8. One the plant is too big for the baggie, transfer all of it to a pot of soil or plant it outside.
  9. Enjoy learning about and watching your plant grow!
